But then there were some interesting posts on the thread mentioning that a. the chip they used for their preamp was discontinued recently and b. the main guy behind EMG told Frank Falbo that indeed the preamp was changed.

Not being critical, just curious, do you have any links or sources for your 'a' or 'b' claims?

I just purchased a set of the 57tw/66tw and I think the 66tw has a manufacture date of jan 2020 so I want to know if I can glean any more info about when said differences would have made it into production if possible, I won't have an earlier production set to compare to this one (when it gets here)..
