Hi, nooby here.
I have a 1999 Jackson Concert CA-4 bass guitar with 2 large soapbar pickups with 'Designed by Duncan' on them. Could anyone tell me information about them, they are close to 115mm long by 27mm wide, 2 screw holes at top, only one at bottom.
Is 'Designed by Duncan a cheaper version under licence of Seymour Duncans? Are they humbuckers or single coils, alnico or ceramic etc. Are these seen as any good? I like the sound I get from them, the active preamp and bass boost offers a very wide range of tones.
I dont think Seymour DUncan do an equivalent size now to these. Possible upgrade if I can find the right size pups.
Photos - The guitar is how it was before I got it, damaged paint job and a loose washer, the instrument has been stripped back to the wood since then!
Thanks Stu
