Well seymour said he paid attention to every detail making the Seth like a PAF except the coils are balanced also there's no wax. 57 Classics coils are balanced and they are waxed.

Newer Gibson 490 series pickups ( i.e. 498T ) can seem " woofy ". I've heard some 498t's that I liked,and others that I didn't. Most of Gibson's stock neck pickups, I actually like. Older ( 1960's and older ) original PAF's = HEAVEN !!! Just my humble opinion.
