Both parallel and series pickups positions

Is the center pickup position in the picture both a series and parallel position? What does it sound like? The diagram is from Ibanez RG421PB.

The center position is kinda the "normal" dual humbucker mode. Each pup is in series, but the two are parallel to each other.

right, each pup is wired in series but the two pups are connected parallel

That is the normal middle pickup position in 99% of dual humbucker guitars.
