  • Single coil sized humbucker for Affinity Strat?

I'm looking for some recommendations for a single coil sized humbucker to put in my Affinity strat. I play mostly classic to hard rock through Marshall/JCM800-ish amps. I'd love something that has some good clarity and vintage crunchiness. Nothing too overly compressed.

The Red Devil is marketed for those tones. I love mine.

Yes, the Red Devil or the JB Jr would work for you.

I’ve been looking at demo videos of single-coil-sized humbuckers recently, and I thought there were some good classic rock (and harder) sounds in this video.

I put a JB Jr in my '04 Affinity Strat. I even wired it to the middle tone pot,
which gets me close to a woman tone.
It's pretty hot, and is a great tone alternative to my other single coils.

It doesn't mesh well with my neck pickup, which is a little underpowered,
but it goes great with the SSL-5 in my middle position. Sometimes I wonder
          if I'd prefer a lil 59.

I think Duncan has a 21-day guarantee, so why not buy a
couple and try them out? Just a little soldering for a few minutes is all it takes!
