  • Need info on these JB/Jazz combo

Bought a 2008 ESP LTD MH-250NT today for a killer price and these pickups are installed. Never seen a JB or Jazz look like these. When did these come out? Any info on them?

These are limited edition 35th Anniversary Commemorative Jazz/JB pickup (hot rodded set). Like the earliest production JB, these special Commemorative pickups have a single-conductor wire, rough-cast magnets, butyrate bobbins, and long-legged bottom plates featuring a special laser-engraved 35th Anniversary logo.

    Long Mounting Legs
    Single Conductor Wire
    Maple Spacer
    Butyrate Bobbins
    Rough Cast Alnico V Bar

Thanks for the info, Mincer. I have other JB and Jazz pickups, but these do sound different and I was wondering why.

And if you got a killer deal, that's an even bigger score!

I think I will hold onto these. If I do ever consider selling you'll be the first one to know.

This Topic discusses why they may sound a little different: Whats the deal with the JB Antiquity and the 35th anniversary?

Thanks! I'm very happy with this score. Glad I picked it up when I did. Local, too. This guitar is excellent and such a rare find.

Nah, send it to Ace first. He's setting up The Definitive, Ultimate JB Comparison test. You'll get it back. ProMiSE....
