They read correct. To me, looks like the could be Duncan bits, but modified/assembled from various disassmbled pickups, not a single unit from the Duncan factory, and the baseplate on one of them doesn't look like a real Duncan, so might not even be Duncan parts - could be fake bobbins that read the right resistance put onto a Duncan-stamped baseplate.

        • Hi everyone,

I’m new here, I got a new guitar and in the bridge position it has a stacked humbucker. I can see it’s a SD but I don’t really know wich model it is. I measured it at the output jack and it reads 18.8 and sometimes even 19 I don’t think it’s very accurate because I tested in another guitar and it’s also reading slightly less than what that humbucker was when I measured it through the wires before I installed it so I think this SD has also a little higher output than what it’s reading. Can you help me identifying it?

          Thank you.

          • Reads like an STK-S9b Hot Stack Plus bridge. Label is gone, so hard to know for sure.

            • That’s what I thought too until I saw pictures of the back of the pickup and the STK-S9b looks different. So I checked for more options according to output impedance and it could also be a stacked classic bridge? Or do the back of the pickups vary?

              • thats the old school stack design, so not a stack + model. has pole pieces rather than a bar so its not the stks2. not hot enough to be a yjm stack. its a stks1b, original classic stack bridge model

                  • Hello!

First post here needing some advice from one of you guitar gear wizards.

I am selling an Epiphone LPC that I have owned for around 4 years. Someone contacted me via the marketplace post to inform me that it was a fake! (I had no idea that they even faked Epiphones), its loaded with Seymour Duncan Invaders (A big selling point for the guitar before knowing it was fake) and I want to see if they are real.

I have looked at posts identifying fakes, and as far as I can see they look correct? (But then again I was fooled by an Epiphoney and don't want to trust my own opinion, especially since I am selling the guitar and want to make sure my ad is clear)

Hopefully someone here can give me some advice! I will attach photos of the pickups.

                    • Hi!

My first post here, good thread to clarify fakes for not experts like me. I appreciate this initiative.

So I will show you all my Seymour Duncan pickups. I have doubts with two of them because are the most copied (SH2-N and SH4) and have bought recently in a guitar forum from my country, Spain. What do you think?

One of the others I don't know which model is, came in a second hand bought Fender Stratocaster MIJ E series, and has an old paper with "BC" inscription. Maybe someone can help to clear up the model, I should post it in the appropriate thread.

                      Thanks folks!!

You're good to go. All of those appear to be authentic.

                        • Oh, and "BC" on the rails pickup with the paper label is a Hot Rails bridge model, wound by Catalina Padilla.

                          • There's a ton of fakes on Ebay UK, like these ones. I've reported them to ebay as counterfeit but they rejected my report and the seller continues to sell their fake stuff. It's really galling to see feedback from people who've bought fake Seymour Duncans from them and are leaving good feedback thinking they got a good deal!

Thanks for the info! I will investigate about it.
