I have a ash body pau ferro/maple Grassroots snapper model which is stock equipped with GH-1G pickups, with "Pride" label sticker at the base plates. Does anyone knows anything about these pickups? Specs, DC, magnet types...
I thought these sounds great in the guitar. Good amount of clarity, balance EQ, sparkly sounding, not too hot nor too weak sounding. The interesting is I tried replaced them with spare set of 59n JBb, end up putting stocks back in. The Duncan are almost cardboard sounding in that guitar.
Also any opinions on upgrading humbuckers in an ash body? I have exp with Duncans in alder, but this ash one is very different sounding.
