Did DiMarzio change their creme color?

I don't own a lot of cream DiMarzios, but I took this pic, which shows a 2010-ish EBMM "Axis" pickup alongside a newer set of Air Zone/Tone Zone that have a noticeably darker (browner?) tone to them:

Good to know I'm not losing my vision or my mind.
Still, kind of annoying. Doesn't match my neck pickup.
Ace, I know what you're getting at & I understand the hate (though I don't feel it), but yeah, if you're going to alienate a lot of people by owning double cream, at least keep it in the cream category! This is bordering on dark tan or light brown.

I just got a new double cream DiMarzio and it looks...browner than my older ones. Am I crazy, or is this a thing?
