  • P90s in a DIY thinline?

    Discuss please.

SD Vintage P90s. Soapbars, not dogears.

Pondering buying a no name dual P90 cut thinline (fully or as close to fully as it gets) body off eBay from a seller I've had good luck with in the past and building my own.

Not only do I get the satisfaction of building my own, I get to pick everything and spread the costs over time.

Sadly I don't think I'll be able to get an affordable (to me) rear control cavity body, but the rest is do-able.

Right now I am out in the middle of nowhere Texas trying to get an old oil well plugged.

First the Land Rover blew its transmission 200 miles from home and 300 miles from the well. Swapped cars with the wife and got here a day late.

Then the crew told me they can't get the rig to the well because the road is washed out and the well pad is covered in Mesquite, bushes and rattlesnakes.

Now we're having trouble getting a bulldozer...

All this after a fridge in one of our rentals went belly up, the new fridge didn't fit in the hole the old one came out of...

Gotta have something nice to look forward to...

Ten miles from the nearest paved road.

When you say the middle of nowhere you are not exaggerating.

                Sorry and good luck!

No radio out there, just SiriusXM tuned to Classic Vinyl.

                  All together now...

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name...

Well, since the Land Rover blew up en route, it's a Nissan Pathfinder 4WD, not a horse, but...
