Now 40 yrs later, I now know how to build pickguards, & wanted to install it properly, with the N & S coils having the correct orientation? Is the logo on the back a reliable, determining factor as to which side is which?
    many thnx

Your biggest clue is the wire.

So being that it's been evidently cut, and could reach any previous installs by having the wire cluster closer to the controls??

No matter how short the wire is, the clue remains identical.

Yes. On a bridge pup, the cable should exit the lower right corner as the guitar sets on a stand.

(Red coil, closest to the bridge.)

Holy ketchup and mustard! Yes indeed the wires go downtown.

Sidenote: "Hello Kitty" has been around for 40 years?

I think that is a typo, unless there was a Fender version before the Squier. Squier started production in 2006.

Has the Invader been around 40 years? If so, that would make me.... Ah, nevermind.
                I miss the 80's (girls) !!!

Thank goodness! An intelligent man. Especially with two rows of slugs. It will sound the same either way.

The more important question with that McPickup color scheme is do you want fries with that?

Ass some blue hex poles and you got a Def Leppard pickup.

                        Doesn't matter. It's a symmetrical wind, AFAIK.
