  • Help ID'ing this pickup--9NJ--Silverbird?

I just removed this from a new (used) guitar. Joined this site to see if anyone here can help me with what it is. My googling suggests it may be a Silverbird neck pickup wound by Maricella Juarez. As I am the opposite of an expert with respect to pickups any guidance would be greatly appreciated. https://www.seymourduncan.com/blog/l...h7-and-the-sh9

Those are pretty rare, even around these parts!

Another question to ask would be does it fit in a regular pickup ring? The Silverbird uses Telecaster bobbins, which are bigger when turned straight on a humbucker bobbin.

That is most certainly a Silverbird neck pickup! Nice score!

Yep, Silverbird. MJ-wound, too, but it's the neck version.
You'll probably need to file a regular mounting ring out a little to fit those bobbins.

Total resistance appears to be between 9.2 and 9.3, although I could have screwed something up. Wasn’t sure what else to check.

                    Edit: or 8.92

Thank you, appears to be a little large for normal ring.
