  • Zebra or go back to black?

I want to put back the Custom/Jazz pickups this guitar came with, so I can use these in another guitar, but I thought the zebra improved how this guitar looks.

Is this working, or would you have no problem going back to all black? Click image for larger version

I would personally like all black better on this guitar.

Either would be fine for me. Maybe black has the slight edge, since the hardware is all black.

          The zebra definitely takes it.

Black & orange is a classic. For me the zebras are a bit too much.

I like the zebra's. But black would look good too.

              P.S. Gorgeous axe.

Can you fit covers over them in those routs? Blue or that rainbow-colored burnt chrome effect would look pretty sweet.

Thanks! I like these simple and shiny paint jobs.

I thought the zebras saved the guitar from looking like a haloween guitar. But I may go back to the black so I can give the duncans a fair shake.

All my pickups are black except for this zebra set. I'm thinking they will work better in another guitar. I'm just going to make due with what I have.

I like it, personally. I think black would look a bit plain, and I'm not a zebra guy 95% of the time. But I would love to see how it would look with black pickups too.

You know, Duncan can do bobbins in most colors as a shop floor custom. You could have black and orange zebras! (yeah j/k, then it would be halloween.)

Actually either black or zebra on that color. BTW, that is an awesome color.

absolutely black, much more elegant. My wife's rule is maximum two colors , non complementary, I think it can be applied to guitars too
