Whatever you do, do NOT cut more wood out. You can fit a battery in your wire cavity without a problem, despite lack of space. My JR-20 Pro Rhoads has only one volume knob and I'm using the 81/85 combo in it. Not a problem in the world.

Sweet, new Stuff rocks, but new Jacksons rule. Nice pic, too. Are those buddies of yours with the Warlock and the WRMG?

dude, of ALL the colors you HAD to chose the most dull of them all, didnt you.. i'm starting to hate black guitars with a passion... why not trans blue? trans red looks like you killed someone and the blood is still dripping on it cos of the flame maple veneer hehe

if i was you, i'd stick with a custom/59 combo. i daresay it will be similar to the 81/60 combo, just warmer and not so sterile sounding.. but if you wish to go for that metallica 'black' album, go for it. the 60's got a great sound clean (if nothing else matters is believable)

aapje, not everyone can afford 500 straight out of the pocket. i'd have to sell my SG to get the KE3.. and i dont know who'd buy it without pickups, cos i'm not selling my duncans. maybe if i bought the kelly first and swaped them, but then i couldnt sell it for that much

As for emgs sounding good in a KE, it all depends on what u like and also the amp. but wood of body wise it shouldnt make a big diff if its in mahogany or alder i think,.
Can't you pop it under that trem spring cavity? Even if you have to route, it'll be hidden under there.

I have webspace, but a digital camera...
But, I used my imagination and searched e-bay, because people selling their guitars there often have pictures....

And I found one selling a Ke3 Kelly, and he had the picture you want.

maybe its possible to "make" room in the guitar, like remove some wood orsomething... btw if you have pictures just mail them to [email protected] and i`ll put em online
