Re: 5/2 concept in a humbucker
We tried it once. It didn't really work that well. It's still in one of the guitars in our sound room. If you ever come out here, you can listen to it -- and maybe you'll understand why we never released it.Evan Skopp, Inside Track International

Re: 5/2 concept in a humbucker
Oh well thanks anyway Evan. I was thinking I could aim for somewhere between a Jazz/A2P bridge mix with but hey if the gurus said yuck I trust 'em.
I will get there to try it out someday though, I am determined! My Bands -

Re: 5/2 concept in a humbucker
Works great in single coil pickups. I don't quite know why it didn't work in hummers either.
I changed my mind...I'm guessing that because of the natuarally higher output of humbuckers, the difference between the magnets stood out more...so the high strings were TOO warm and the low strings were TOO punchy. And maybe it almost sounded like a humbucker with split personality disorder.Last edited by korovamilkdud; 05-26-2004, 08:57 AM.Originally posted by Pink Unicorn HorseyDumbness on massive idiocy with the stupid dumb-dumbnity of ridiculous WTFation in the dumbass of you-idiot.Originally posted by Sosomething"How do I improve the tone of my ThrasherKidzz-O-Blaster combo??"
