Thin sounding Tele in the Middle Positon

Just swapped the stock bridge PU for a STHR-1b (American Tele)...Sounds great in the lead switch postion but when in the middle it dosen't seem to be combining the front and rear PU...Very thin sounding..?

I have the Red and White soldered together, the Green to ground and the Black to the Switch....I also have the bare wire under the bridge plate with the other ground wire...

Did I wire something backwards??
Can all the grounds be connected at the post under the rear pickup, of do they need to be soldered individually to the pots?

the new pup is out of phase with the stock pup ... reverse the green and black leads on the pup you just put in and it should clear up

That was it, amazing how all the instructions and schematics can be wrong???@!!!

glad to help .. the instructions were right .. the issue arose because you mixed a replacement pup and a stock pup .. not a problem, you just need to know the ideosynchorsies of the manufacturers .. thre is no 'standard' for polarity and wind direction .. you just gotta figure it out for the combination you choose ... if you ever replace the neck pup, you'll have to know the polarity/wind of that one ... the SD schematics assume all SD pickups .. they are spot on correct when that is the case :-)

how do the two pups sound together in the middle position?

Sound is great... A bit thick but great for hard country and rock...

Thanks for the help again...Next I have to exchange the stock epi in the LP (Epi) with a Burstbucker Pro..!
