I'm completely new to this forum, so be gentle!
I have a question that maybe someone on here will be able to answer. The Fender Custom Shop has made a few signature models for British guitarist Hank Marvin. The first prototypes sported the Fender-Lace Sensors (Gold), but Hank was not happy with the sound from those, so the final model instead had a DiMarzio FS-1 at the bridge and two Seymour Duncans at middle and neck. Hank apparently used SD's on his 70's Strats. In an interview from '93 with Hank he says they were custom made for him. Were they? What models were they? Are they still available today?
Hank's latest CS Strats now have Kinmans.
