JB/C5 or Distortion/Custom hybrid???

has anybody done this? how would it sound???

I have a JB and my friend wants to get a custom, would it be cool to do a hybrid job on it? one would be A5 and one would be Ceramic right?

or does it mean we will get 2 identical pickups with half ceramic and half A5?

also...which has more bottom end, duncan custom or distortion???

That is a smokin Hybrid... with an A5 you get a bit more bottom end and the Ceramic version has a more aggressive midrange

Or the other option, an Alnico 2, which really gives some smooth singing mids, which is perfect as a Strat bridge p'up (Alder with maple neck in my case).
Pretty soon, though, I'm swapping it back to Ceramic, bwahhhhh!!!!
