push-push pot coil spilt to a parallel? mod?

ok im having the custom taken outa the bridge of my RG 570 and put in my RS 530

atm it has a push push pot on both bridge and neck volume pots for a coil split

but i want the bridge one to be a parallel-series to get gilbert style tones and probably better cleans than the thin sounding bridge singke coil

is it possible?

..so you want one push pull to split neck humbucker (already wired), and the other to toggle the bridge between series parallel? Since you already have the neck wired to split the humbucker, you just need to wire the bridge to toggle between parallel and series, look on the main SD website under support->schematics, you'll find it

Re: push-push pot coil spilt to a parallel? mod?

Something else that's cool is if you have two push/pull pots and both are DP/DT, you can use one switch to split both pickups, and the second switch to switch one pickup (not both unfortunately!) from series to parallel. Lew

Re: push-push pot coil spilt to a parallel? mod?

but what would happen if i had the one pup (they're both HB's) on single coil and parallel?

Couldn't do it...

You could have:

Both Series
Both Single
One Series and One Parallel.

Re: push-push pot coil spilt to a parallel? mod?

yeah i gathered, but thats what would happen if i had the master coil split, and the parallel on the bridge hb, and the bridge hb selected
