you cant just ask us what single coil you want. what kind of music do you play what kind of sound do you want from the pickup.

i have a jackson js20 dinky S-S-H. i play rock w/ solos, lots of clean and i want a nice bright high tone in clean and get a decent crunch in distortion. i play though a peavey 15watt. but soon gettin a carvin or a marshall.

Dude, what humbucker did you decide on, and if you can pick three people's tones that you are influenced by, or would like to attempt to emulate, who would they be?

Re: So I've decided on the humbucker

i decided the JB (unless told other wise). Influences id say definitely Metallica(what i play most, but emg's r too expensive), Van Halen, Led Zeppelin. I play alot of clean stuff so i dont want too much bass or mid so it dosnt sound so dull.

since i hear dimarzio singles are great if u can even suggest a dimarzio humbucker that would suit my needs please tell me.

Dimarzio always suits my needs, except for always. Despise the name.

would it be smart to get a single coil humbucker for the neck a regular single coil for the mid and a JB for the bridge

For VanHalen and Zep, Id go with a CC instead of the JB, but tha't just my personal opinion. Vintage Staggered is a good choice for th middle position, and the JBjr neck model is really nice in the neck position for clean and dirty.
