  • 59 Jr. in the neck positon of a Tele-type guitar?

Can I do that? I'm not a big fan of single coils, and my guitar (ESP Hybrid-300)has a standard Tele-type, chrome-covered, single-coil pickup in the neck.

Is it possible to replace it by a Strat 59 Jr. without major alteration to the guitar (no wood or pickguard routing)?

If not, what's the Tele neck pickup that's closest to a humbucker soundwise, the Quarter Pound? Any suggestion for a noiseless solution?

    Thanks.

You will need to route your pickguard a bit to fit a Lil 59 in the neck slot of a tele. The only other noiseless Tele neck pickup that requires no alteration to fit is the vintage rythm stack. Traditional Tele tone with no noise.
    Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

Thanks a lot... I'll try to figure out the amount of pickguard routing needed.
