  • Wiring Q.

So here's my newest Strat wiring scheme (thanks, Lew)

I've got it all done, and I'm wondering if there is a way I could make a switch that would bypass everything and just run the bridge pickup to the jack. Any ideas, wiring gurus?

It shouldn't be too difficult, depending on a couple things.
Is that a Duncan Humbucker? Its just that the color-code isn't quite right if it is. If not, who's p'up is it?

What is the function of that last switch you have, right above the output jack? Is it supposed to be a "kill" switch?

Do you want to bypass everything - including volume and tone controls?

Let me know, and I'll show you how to do this.

Edit: One more thing - the switch thats under the humbucker: is that a 2-way or 3-way DPDT switch?
Does the handle have two positions, or three?

Edit 2: One 'mo time: Is that a standard 5-way Strat switch to the right of the volume controls?

      1) the 'humbucker' is just 2 fender single coils that I wired together.
      2) yes, it's just a momentary push-button kill switch
      3) yes, just run the 'humbucker' to the jack
      4) 2 position switch.
      5) it was the switch that came with the strat.
