My brother, who lives in Kent (UK), has a 1961 Martin D18 for sale. Here's his description:
---------------------------------------------------
It's a 1961 Martin D18. It looks fairly battered (it's 44 years old!), but
it's all playing wear - nothing major or structural. It has a lovely full
tone & has had a L.R.Baggs iBeam active bridge plate pickup installed & been
setup by Vince Hockey (Southampton), Martin's recommended UK luthier. He
also verified the age. The only part of it that isn't original is the
replacement chrome Grover tuners. It comes with a Hiscox case. I'm looking
for £1,450 or near offer.
It's a great sounding guitar, I'm selling it because I don't get on with the
thin Martin neck, and it's surplus to requirements. I've had it for just
over 4 years & it just sits in it's case most of the time, which seems a
shame. I can email photo's if anyone's interested.
----------------------------------------------------
If you're interested, PM me with your e-mail address and/or phone number and I'll forward your details to him.
