  • WTB SG trim piece

Sorry, I should have put this in with my other post but I forgot about it.

I'm also going to need a neck pickup ring, and more importantly that little piece of plastic trim that goes between the neck pickup and the end of the fretboard on an SG. Black.

I could get a new pickup ring pretty easily, but I don't know where to get that little trim piece.

And I guess I'll need the pickup ring screws.

    Thanks.

The piece you're chasing is known as an SG tenon cover. Google it or try Evil bay,you should be able to find one.
Or,you could whip one up out of scrap scratchplate material. The originals are only 2 ply,black/white.

Thanks, I didn't know the terminology.

Unfortunately I don't have any scrap material to make one out of.

I seems like I should use 3 ply if I did, though, since that's what the pickguard here is.

The last time I needed one I ended up buying it with a new pick guard from eBay. It wasn't too much money.

Come to think of it, I think I still have the set in a Ziploc bag with screws somewhere... I must have really needed it!
