These are very rare...you don't see them too often.
When Heritage introduced the H150 in 1988, the rumor was that they used leftover Gibson bodies, essentially making it EXACTLY like a Les Paul....except for the headstock. Gibson sued Heritage in 1990 over the body design of the H150 and the Heritage H357 Firebird, due to them being so close to the original Gibson designs. Later in 1990, the H150 body design was changed so that the horn cut went at more of a downward angle, not looking exactly like a LP.
So, the original run of the H150 Les Pauls, are essentially a Kalamazoo made Les Paul with a Heritage neck.
This particular specimen is just spectacular! For being 28 years old, it is in great condition! It weighs in at 9 lbs. It has a medium C neck carve.
It does have a few dings and dents (see pics)...and one small area of nitro checking under the high E tuner. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs...a very straight and solid guitar.
The guitar is factory stock with the exception of the bridge, tailpiece and strap buttons (originals are included in the case) The case is factory original also.
The frets are perfect! The Indian rosewood fretboard is absolutely beautiful....nice streaking! The fretboard boasts beautiful mother of pearl inlays.
The body is a 1 piece Honduran mahogany topped with a MONSTER Flamed maple cap.
The electronics consists of 2 Schaller humbuckers (factory) 500k pots and Sprague capacitors and a Switchcraft 3 way toggle.
This H150 has a rich, warm and woody tone! It friggin rocks!!! Perfect, low setup with 10-46s.
All in all just a spectacular playing and sounding Les Paul....H150
