  • 1947 GIBSON BR4 LAP STEEL

I saved this baby from the depths of hell!!!!

When I found it, it had been rattle canned metallic lavender!!!! It was a mess!!!!

I took it to my go to luthier, the legend, PETE MORENO! He spent over 4 months bringing this historic piece of Gibson History back to life!!!!

From what I've, found, the BR4 was only made for 2 years. This lap is all original, except to the professional, period correct, NITRO refin….also the tuners, jackplate and the case are non original. The logo is a NOS authentic Gibson logo from Pete's stash...the original logo was slightly bigger. I did not cheap out on the refin….I told Pete that I wanted this baby to be period correct...he researched many photos to find other BR4s to match the finish....and he knocked it out of the park!!!!

The one piece mahogany body, the steel nut, the pickup, electronics, plastics, knobs, fretboard, bridge....ARE ALL ORIGINAL!

The finish is factory fresh!!! Like the day is left 225 Parsons street.

I plugged it in to my 1964 Epi Pacemaker amp....and it sounds incredible!!!!

    $550 plus shipping

    Thanks for looking
