  • OG Brobucker

Selling my OG Brobucker. Per the gentleman’s agreement, I’m selling for $120 plus shipping. 11” of lead.
Hard Rock - gain on 5 - singing about good times.

Heavy Metal - gain on 10 - screaming about something.

    What exactly is the Brobucker?
I’ve seen it talked about a little bit here on the forum so I’m aware that it’s a thing but what was the premise on it again?
    Thanks.

Humbucker players typically go for fiery hot or total vintage when it comes to the output and tone of their pickups. The BroBucker was dreamed up by the Seymour Duncan Forum members years ago to create something right in the middle.

The 10k DC resistance and carefully aged Alnico 5 magnet
give a distinct tone that is harmonically rich and doesn’t lose overtones and harmonics when pushed. Give it a shot.

i just copied this from the description page. I figured Duncan could explain it better than I could. In essence it’s a 10k PAF style pickup.

It's the perfect PAF bridge. It has just the right mid bump for chimey cleans and singing leads, but not the honk of a Seth, nor the huge mid curve of an A2P, nor any other undesirable harsh peaks. IME sounds best in semi-hollow/chambered bodies, but serves well in any Gibson type guitar.

I believe the bobbins are double cream, it’s a covered pickup, but I believe that’s what we decided on for the original run. I’ll post some pics as soon as I get home.

FWIW If you sink the filisters down below the cover you can at least see what color the adjustable coil is.

You can also remove a couple of screws that hold the bobbins to the baseplate to get a peek.
