  • WTB: Replacement P90's for Epi Wildkat / Casino

    Covers not needed.

I tried to "pot" my pickups, (that came with my Epiphone Wildkat), and while struggling to get the cover off. (with a weak, cheap soldering iron)-
i destroyed the neck pickups windings, and also overheated/degaussed the bridge pickup.

I've seen sets aviable on eBay,

    but I'll ask anyway.

I can pay by PayPal, or Bank Transfer.

    Thanks alot,

    Erlend.
If somethings important- send a PM. I might be offline for long periods. Rock on!!!

I have a P90 you can have. I would just need to know what the shipping would be.

I think the main issue- is finding a P90 (set) where the pole pieces align, with the holes in my thick, metal covers. :/.

I can get some "Wilkinson" P90's from Norway, for just 40USD a set! :o. But I don't know if they will fit. .

...that's why, I'm looking for original Epiphone casino/wildkat, metal cover P90's. (I think it's the same ones, in those guitars. Except the "elitist" casino).

The spacing on the pickup I have is 49.2mm. What is the spacing on your covers?

I haven't measured it yet. (because I have forgotten, to buy something as simple as a plastic ruler)

...and I think I need 2 pickups. The bridge pickup became very quiet- after I tried to heat the solder, that kept the cover on. My guess- I de-gaussed the magnet(s)

          .but thanks!

          EDIT:

I will ask the local, now senior luthier- and also measure the spacing. And post/PM you back.

          merry christmas!
