I use Cakewalk pro 3. I find it very EZ to use. My program didn't come
with a manual ,And I was able to figure it out pretty fast! It's layed out
like a mixing board. So if you know your way around a mixer it will come
    to you pretty quick.

I think you can use Acid drums or drum loops with it? It has some features
for tempo and etc. But I haven't used any of the stuff yet ?? I use
Fruity Loops for my drums, Than import the mp3 file into cakewalk. Fruity
Loops works great for Midi files. (Bit of a learning curve tho)

I use guitar tracks and ACID music for loops. I like the combo a lot. You can export the ACID loops as a wave file, and import them in to Guitar Tracks.
You can also import regular ACID loops in to Guitar Tracks, but I like to keep the 2 functions separate.
