Started working on a new performance piece for guitar and synths. This is a jam of the first section before the guitar comes in. Am still coming to grips with all of the button pressing, keyboard playing, and sequencing ... almost got to the part where the guitar comes in.
This was recorded live from the 2-track output of my mixer as I performed it.
There are three synths going on and a drum machine either being played or sequenced live.
For this piece I am drawing on three influences: the Fibonacci sequence for random note generation and Steve Reich’s minimalist compositions but done as a John Carpenter soundtrack.
