Great album. Not quite Deep Purple; at least, not the old Deep Purple. Obviously.

Still, has *cough* shades of Deep Purple.

I agree, but it was the best Deep Purple album since 1973.

That was SO amazing. I’ve seen that clip quite a few times but it still gets me every time.
Gary is the perfect blend of blues emotion and rock aggression to me.
I’d love to be able to do what he does.

I Remember You. And here's to play it by the man himself, finally after 30 effing years:

I always liked Mark Kendall’s style. Very melodic. He deserved more recognition than he got.

Here are a few that come to mind.

Alan Parsons Project - Old and Wise
                        Thin Lizzy - Parisienne Walkways
                        Fleetwood Mac The Chain
Thin Lizzy - The Sun Goes Down
Chris Rea - Nothing to Fear
Paul McCartney - No More Lonely Nights
                        Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2
                        Iron Maiden - Strange World

To me all fit in beautifully with (or make the) song.

That man really knew how to play guitar :/... such a sad story about his life and death aswell.
Interesting. I only knew this song through Gary Moore. Same hot licks. Same sad ending. Why do the good die young?

I must have listened to this a dozen times now. Thanks for posting this. That’s amazing. I had heard it before but never knew the name of it. And I had never heard Roy Buchannon’s version.

Did anybody else notice that his (Moore’s) neck pickup is installed backwards and that it looks like all of the screws have been removed?
                              What’s that all about?

peter greens lp, the screws are just sunk down below the level of the cover, maybe flush with the top of the bobbin.

roy wrote the song, the version i know best is from his '72 album
