I've never mastered the art of shredding-.

.- I think I know (poorly) ONE LICK, and that's it .

I've focused much more on the "slow hand" technique, and getting the guitar to sing.

My old lead guitar player- was a very gifted youth- at 18 years old, he could play Malmsteen, Vai (but not Satriani) solos, and shred like a god! .

I played bass guitar then, in that band. We were really good, "The Spotbang Quartet". But when the time came to record our debut album, all three of my band members ran away. One had gotten a job, the other a girlfriend... and the third... who knows. Too bad, we could have made a solid MARK in the world of prog rock! .

I will never be a shredder, neither moderately fast. But then again, I'm a bassist. .
