This is what I've been working on for a while:
Steve Morse Band's "The Road Home" off of the "High Tension Wires" album from 1989 (I had already done "Highland Wedding" years ago; which I will re-do).
He used a guitar synth for a lot of the lines, but I used a combo of neck pickup + spank Strat.
He also used a 12-string; I used a spanky Strat doubletracked with pickup in position 4 & 5.
Yes, Eventide Harmonizer.
Had to build the drums on a MIDI piano roll... beat by beat.
No bass... yet. And missing the guitar synth solo.
Anyways, it's almost there - have yet to do some stuff:
