  • A Rare Single Release Day!

I generally release long-form ambient collections, so this is quite a departure. It is short, shreddy, and a strange combo of styles recorded a few years ago. The guitar was a 96 MiM blood red Strat, and the pickup was a JB Jr. It also had a Roland GK-2a synth pickup, which handles all of the non-guitar and non-drum sounds (cello, trumpet, Chapman Stick, etc). I used a Jonson J Station for amp modeling, and an early 80s Cry Baby. I don't own the guitar or the J Station anymore, but both were pretty cool.

The AI-generated video was almost incomprehensible, though I recognized your face in a couple places. The tune was cool. I can hear your influences throughout. Sounded good.

Steve Vai meets Garbage meets Frank Zappa

      Funky cool weirdness.

I have to admit, most of the guitar-synth stuff I hear seems more gimmicky than musical; this was not. Tuneful and catchy.

And that ending-damn, dude, you can play!

Thank you all! This was an older song I finally decided to put up on YouTube. I have tons of very short compositions like this, as well as long form (over an hour long) ambient pieces, too.

Haha, I have a lot of stuff out there, but most isn't as guitar-centric (although it was done with guitar).

                      That’s okay. Share them anyway.

I remember when you’d share a video each Christmas of solo tv performances.

Oh yeah! I still do those. I have a tv performance coming up in Nov, I think.
