Raised on CW. Didn't get my attention. Grew up on KSHE-95 St. Louis so always have had a propensity for blues-based rock and roll both American and British. Ran through more gear than I like to think about. Always looking for that sound. Just saw an amp I blew up when I was a kid sell for $5K at a Heritage auction. It had two 6X9s and a 3 in tweeter. The one I toasted was originally purchased for $89. It was a Gretsch Country Gentleman if memory serves with a steer skull and horns on the speaker cloth with rawhide levant and tanned trim. First time I smelled a transformer fry. Really enjoy playing and collecting. Since retiring it's been fun to really get into the technical side of music. Doing my own mods/swaps/fixes/ooopsey diddles experimenting with all of them.

Duncan Pups I Have Experience With...
JBs and Hotrods - Really feel the SH-4. Great warm & deep guttural tone with or without boosts. Especially tight on high end. A simple compressor makes them soar.
