I was considering a possible purchase of a LP Studio. What are the differences(other than cosmetic) between the Studio and the Standard. I was under the impression that the Standard had a thicker maple cap which contributes to a more articulate tone. Can someone fill me in?

I;m not trying to get top dollar, just trying to get a rough estimate.

I have a Strat with the Bridge humbucker and middle and neck are single coils. Will 500k for the bridge tone pot(with .22 cap), 500k volume pot, and 250k pot(with.47 cap) for the two single coils work ok? Thanks.

I played a PRS Soapbar and a LP faded back to back. The PRS wins in the finish and feel department. The LP wins in the sound department. I'm hoping that I could upgrade the P90s in the PRS to get the LP growl. Any experiences upgrading the PRS soapbars to Duncan Soapbars etc.?
