I have been looking all over: does anyone have a wiring diagram or link for a '65 Melody Maker, SG shape, with 2 single coils, 2 volume, 2 tone and a 4 way slide switch? Model is MM-D. I'm restoring one for a great local player & I was given a bag of parts, literally.

I have Gretsch Corvette with Megatron icikups. They have ceramic mags and are a little harsh for my taste. I took a cover off & they have 1/4" thick magnets instead of the usual 1/8" thick. I would love to try A5 or UOA5 mags. Any idea where one could get them in 1/4" thick?

What do you prefer for pickup & pole piece heights on your Mean 90s?

I have a Jazz neck pickup in a Parker Fly, which is an inherently bright guitar to begin with. The Jazz N was pretty spikey treble-wise in that guitar, so I put in a UOA5. That helped balance it out but it is just not real exciting. How do you think an A4 would compare to the UOA5 in the Jazz...

I put a UOA5 magnet into my Jazz neck pickup & it sweetened it up some & helped with the bottom end. I see Rumblebox likes an A4 in the Jazz. What is the effect of an A4 in a JazzN. Likes/ dislikes? Thanks!

I have done searches and found a few responses on an A8 mag in a JB. I have a Parker Fly Mojo that came with Jazz/ JB. It is not easy to swap pickups in the Mojo (you have to cut the mounting screw brackets off, so you can't resell the pickup), so I'm doing some mag switching first. The Jazz...

I'm still gathering all the details I can on humbucker magnet swapping. How critical is magnet length? I see many of the mags available are 2.444" long instead of 2.5" (only .056" difference). How about with Trembuckers? Do they need a longer magnet? Thanks!

After I peel back the cloth tape on a humbucker to slide a magnet out & another back in, what do I have to do to re-attach the cloth tape around the coil? I know I'm not removing it, just kind of pushing the tape back a bit. Do I need some kind of adhesive to re-attach it? Gracias!
