I got a DiMarzio chopper, planning to get an IGNO
I'm still thinking. For a HSS guitar with 2 rail pickups, what should I be getting?
Another Chopper? Fast Track? Cruiser?
Or do I get a Pro Track and put the Chopper in the middle? Lol
Got this earlier, but didn't get to post it until now
A 2017 Momose 和 (wa) series Strat. Very nice, very well built. Body is Japanese alder and the neck is a very nice 1 piece quartersawn Japanese maple
It's listed as sonic blue and looks sonic blue in photos, but it's a bit greener IRL...
Obviously we all know that, but when I was starting out EMGs were in the middle of an overswing/overcorrection to being "bland", "strident" or just "tinny"
Well, I'm using the 85 and two SAs and I love them very much.
I have to set the pickups much lower than I usually see EMGs set though...
Been a month since I got this amp completely fixed
So, it's just time to put it through its paces
All guitars during the solo portion is me since the AI removed all guitars for that part including rhythm
It's What Marshall recommended
At least as per Marshall and Santiago Alvarez, apparently the holders are the real issue, and that seems to be the case here as I've measure the fuse + holder themselves dropping the voltage from what it should be
Thanks
My office is on the 2nd floor, so it wasn't too scary.
The amp actually died again, so I decided to hardwire it
Glad I did because the fuse holder was burning the PCB
Turns out the no. 4 tube was oriented wrong (!!!)
So I put the original tubes back in, properly oriented, rebiased to 31.8mV (technically mA, but these have a bias probe) for each tube.
NOW the amp actually jumps to life a LOT more. Volume issue more than fixed. Amp is slightly louder...
Nvm I get it now why these weren't popular.
Mine just died for no reason. Lights turned on, but there's no sound. Opened it up, the fuses all check out alright
Got this last weekend or so.
Now here's something I never got.
Why weren't these more popular? I know the world has a gorillion amps that try to do everything at once, but idk I think sound-wise this is just better than 90% of 3 and 4 channel amps out there. And the UI is pretty...
