I am considering a Marshall JCM800, but will replace the EL34's with EL84's. How would this sound? My plan is to use it as my "cranked-balls-to-the-wall" amp with vintage style guitars (mainly Strats and Teles) and my over-the-top LP copy.

So, what do you think? I will use it mostly for heavy things, so I will replace the pick ups with Duncan Distortions (both neck and bridge). I don't use effects (guitar - chord - VHT combo). PS: with heavy thing I mean Metallica tops. I hate death -, goth -, black -, or whatever other metal...
