Fellas, which tube amp do you thing has the nicest clean sound when using PAF (e.g SL, 59) type pickups on a Les Paul type guitar. And, I would prefer the amp to have one channel only - clean. Thanks.

How would a 59n sound different then a SLn in a Les Paul style guitar using a high gain amp (i.e Mesa Boogie Rectoverb). FYI, I have a 59b and I really love the sound of the 59b. I Like the sound of the SLn too, but curious about a 59n. Thanks.

Do Covers on a Seth Lover or a 59 hurt the sound in away? Do they help the sound? What value do covers add?

I'm getting a Heritage H-157 with a Seth-Lover in the neck postion and an 59 in the bridge. I want vintage sound, nothing too cutting or piercing. How do you think these pickups will work?
