Hi, I'm trying to install a pair of blackouts into a Esp ltd kh602, but can't figure out how to connect to the switch. It's a three way, with 8 connection points inline. Anyone have an idea on how this switch works? best Jan

They're not on the tone chart, and I'd like to hear it. I kind of like the alnico vibe, which is different from the ceramic, of the stock Epi pup, but I'd like the detail and clarity of the Custom. So Custom 5 would be an option. Anyone with clips? thanks, Jan

Anyone know how hot they are? I just bought another Epi (Standard Plus Top), and I like the output, but I'd like more definition. I like the sound of a Custom, but think it might be too hot. I've already got an Epi LP with a hot pup (Steve Stevens), and I'm looking for something more moderate...

I just installed the lil59 in my Tele: it sounds great, but the moment I stop playing with distortion, I get a lot of squealing. Any tips? Jan

You can't tell from the dc resistance, because it works differently for those rails. I need something to give me a similar level to a BKP in an Epi (17k), and a fat humbucking sound. Let your lights of wisdom shine on me. Jan

with 250k pots. Is there a way to tame the highs by wiring it to a tone pot, or use a cap, or anything else? thanks, Jan

I have a Hot stack in the bridge, a stock pup in middle, and a ssl5 in the neck of my MIM Strat. Strangely enough, the Hotstack is considerably lower in output. I can't believe that's normal. What say ye? Jan

If you have a guitar with pickupcovers, and you want to replace them, can you just order regular pups and put them in the covers? thanks, Jan

From soundclips on the site, the '59 has my fave sound, but I guess that's recorded with a mahogany guitar. Is ash a brighter sounding wood, and is that why the tonewizard recommends the Duncan Custom? It sounds too mu/iddy on the clips to me. Any ideas? thanks, Jan

I just installed the Vintage Stack in the neck position to go with the Hotstack in the bridge. The VS is waaay louder than the Hotstack, I tried lowering it, but even at its lowest, it's higher up than the stock pup was. I play a mim tele. Suggestions? Jan

Will a split Hotrails for tele get me close to a normal Tele sound? thanks, Jan

I've ordered an EXP preamp, which should kind of turn single coils into humbuckers, like Clapton has in his strat. Anyone have any experience with it? It's going into my MIM Strat with Vintage Rails. thanks, Jan
