If I use an AIB pedal, like the RambleFX Marvel Drive or Carl Martin PlexiTone, or Wampler ThirtySomething, then it's always on. These days I'm using a Zoom MS-50G which is always on and providing both amp tone and reverb all the time.
Sweetwater doesn't always know the specs of what they have. I got a R0 from them years ago and they described and believed the VOS factory aging was used wear and tear.
But I will say, a Custom Shop set of Broadcasters would still be way better than stock Antiquities. The stock Broadcaster is...
FWIW I don't believe Fender ever used A4 poles in Telecaster pickups. Duncan makes Bonamassa pickups to sound like what Joe actually has in that one guitar, but they will go against the vintage recipe sometimes to do it. For example, the Amos pickups had A6 magnets for that reason.
Mutual conductance is needed if you are matching (e.g. power tubes). You might be ok just checking good or bad for preamp tubes. The remaining problem is making sure you test the tube for shorts first before testing it's performance.
Sounds like Sweetwater just sent an Antiquity Tele set instead of the Bonamassa 50. Are they aged?
The limited run are sold out, so any B50 now is just going to be a custom order with those specs, but not signed by Joe and all that.

Are we sure these are legit Duncan pickups? If they are some knock off pickup with magnetic slugs and no bar mag, then one of the slugs could be demagnetized.
It applies when it's solo guitar, like solo acoustic, or a song that isn't a complete band. It thickens the guitar. Not applicable to every situation, which is why there are other options.
I typically unwind them, cut by the bridge, replacing one at a time.
If the guitar needs cleaning, I'll unwind all, then cut by the bridge, clean, condition the fretboard, replace the strings, heaviest first.
FWIW IME a few things that thicken guitar sound
In mono (includes multiple tracks panned to the same location)
A very small amount of EQ bump in the low mids and deep bass range
Combining a bass guitar underneath the guitar part
Two very different guitars with complimentary tone (e.g. scooped...
