I've been too busy since Christmas to post a few pictures of the Epi Elitist Les Paul Standard I got for Christmas. Read in these forums about the MF sale and sent a link to my wife. I did manage to look surprised on Christmas morning:) . When I've had free time I'd rather play the guitar...
ArtieToo's post about his free Conn and it's assymetric V neck got me wondering about SRV's profile at Warmoth.
Is the 'thickest point' shifted up towards the low E string or down towards the high E string?
I got a 97 MIM Strat Body to 'practice' putting together and setting up a guitar. It has a few dents in it so I'd like to 'practice' some cosmetic repairs also. I've found lots of info about refinishing bodies but very little about repair of poly coated guitar bodies.
Found info for...
Found one that needed some cosmetic TLC. It is missing the Faceplate. But guitar -> amp test it passed. $183 shipped. :) :)

Still has original tubes and speaker.
I think it will cause a problem. But what? and the engineer in me has to know why also.
Following some of what I remember from my "electrical engineering for the other engineering majors". I think lower inductance will allow more current to flow through the speaker side of the output...
I'm rewiring a guitar. Adding a couple of DPDT miniswitches.
 Do you need to tie the switch body to ground like a pickup selector switch?
I can't get solder to 'stick' to the metal side that is wrapping the plastic 'guts' of the switch I have.
I've got multiple diagrams for 2 pickup, 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots, 3 way switch.
On some diagrams the capacitor is between the volume pot and the tone pot(i.e. the schematics on the SD web site).
On others the capacitor is between the 'ground' lug of the tone pot and system ground...
I still have my first guitar a late 60's Japanese hollowbody (probably made by the Shiro Arai Co.) and I play her occasionally. She needs to have electronics/PUPs replaced. I found some inexpensive coil splitable 'Filtertron' like pups. There are 6 holes in the body, I want to play with...
I'm an old single coil geezer but I've been thinking of trying a few dual humbucker guitars. I can't swing a Les Paul so I've been following threads on this forum and want to get out and try the Schecters / Yamaha.
I've been intrigued by the set neck arch top Tele's - Custom Telecaster® FMT...
I was looking at the schematichttp://www.seymourduncan.com/website/support/schematics/tele_phase.html on the site. I was wondering why a Tele with a phase switch on the bridge PUP. Would that give you the the added option of the PUPs in series that you canget with a 4 way switch?
