Did 38 special use any type of distortion pedal? I wanted to know if i could get a similar tone with my peavey classic 30. I really like their tone. I also wanted to know what speaker i should swap instead of the horrible sounding blue marvel speaker. I want more of a gain like 38 special. Thanks!

I have a peavey classic 30 and this is my first tube amp. WHere can i have it retubed at? I dont want to retube it myself.

I would like to get that greenday tone from their old album dookie. Do you think a peavey valveking would do or the triple XXX 40 efx combo would give me that tone? I looking for an amp in the price range of 700 dollars. Thanks.
