Man...that V is awesome! The trans black is perfect imo. Is that an 81/85 set?

My kids are now 5 & 8...so they're (relatively) independant & I can actually go about having a bit of a life again..haha. Being able to gig after such a long time is pretty cool..though it's nothing too hectic, just 3-4 gigs this year is all so far..

I picked up a Jackson Dinky (pro series, MIJ) a while ago & it's great. I'm looking around for a new mid-level RG with a natural finish right now (420FB or 470AH/MH...not decided yet).

That''s too bad...though $100 extra is'nt too bad at least. The Dk2S is discontinued as well apparently. They might have something similar out with a sustainiac pup next year, if not I'll look around for leftover Dk2S's on ebay or something...maybe a used one too.. if I find a good deal.

Yeah...the AHB-1/2 combo will be great. I was pretty surprised by how musical the AS-1 single in the middle sounded too, like a traditional strat single on steroids! Sure, I'll definately get something done in a day or two ..I'll get going asap .

Well I changed the strings and yeah, you definately can't get a completely clean sound out of the 'metal' bridge. Normal & boost modes, both are overdriven. Having said that it's a 'pleasant' overdriven sound and not noisy or harsh. I played some tasty blues licks with both settings. The other two pups gave me sweet, super-clean, bell-like tones, so there were enough and more options...

Well with just the one string...they (cleans) sounded pretty good, haha. There's no way to tell until I get some new strings on first. Yeah, I'll try & do demo clips/a video of some sort in a while. I did wire it with a push-pull for the boost, got the wires crossed at first and the pup was dead, but then I switched them around and it works fine now.

Hey thanks for the friend req bro. Yeah, I got the snake skin guitar a few days ago and dropped those blackouts in it yesterday. I know they work 'cause I left one string on and checked the positions, volume, boost switch etc..all set & working, (Damn, they are LOUD!) but I'm going to put a bunch of new strings on in a while and see how things really sound. I'll post some pics too..
