An SG faded in worn cherry. I bought it from Sweetwater because they have a good reputation and they set up and inspect their guitars, and because there are no Gibson dealers near me at all.

I got an idea today to hook up my epiphone valve junior the speaker in my carvin, for fun. The problem is I don't know much about matching ohms and such. 1.The output on the carvin amp is 8 ohms, so can it be assumed that the speaker is 8 ohms as well? The celestion site said it would be either...

a lot cheaper tube amps use el84s? The crate amps, my carvin, the Peavey classic series, the Pro and blues juniors, the Epi amps, all have el84s. All though there certainly are some exceptions, does anyone know why this is?
