I have noticed, especially on LP style guitars, that some are wired with the cap running between middle lug and ground on tone pot. I have also seen them run between tone pot and volume pot. What difference does this make and is one "better" than the other? Thanks, Dave

It's basically an A/B box w/o a switch. But is has a lot of hum...much worse when any distortion is added.. This is present with 2 amps connected and a guitar connected. Same brand of amps and cords are all good. I have checked continuity on all circuits and they are great. Do I need some type...

Finally got it together, thanks for the help!! Waiting for a pickguard. Have it set up with 3 volumes and one tone, they blend as you add or take away on the volume controls.

I am fixing an old guitar and am going to install P-90's. Due to space requirements, I need to use the smaller size pot. All I have are 500k small pots. Will this make a noticeable difference? This is a hollowbody archtop (335 size), with pickups or rings that are approx 4" by 1 3/4" , holes are almost same size. I have had no luck finding any pickups or rings for standard pickups to cover these holes. Hoping someone here has an idea. Thanks, Dave

Does anyone have a Kemper Profiler? Are they really worth that much money? I read they are supposed to be the best "modeler-style" amp as they apparently have recording of the actual amps as opposed to modeling sounds. No one in my area carries them. I am interested in one....but not sure about...
