I bought and customized my first guitar with paper route money in 1966 when I was 12. I still have the Guyatone pentagon-shaped 12 string.
I have played professionally and semi-professionally all my life, mostly playing bass. I almost always find something to change on any instrument I own or build.

- 10 Basses: Electric 4, 5 and 6 string. 2 Fretless, 1 AC Kala U-Bass, 1 NS Electric Upright, etc. Several custom built (by me).
8 6-string Guitars: Several custom built (by me).
2 Violins, a Banjo and a Krappy 5-string Touch Bass.
Almost all instruments have been customized in various degrees.
To play this stuff through, I have several bass and guitar amps, a Mackie PA and a collection of foot pedals/modelers.
I play them all!!!
