Hello I'm about to get a Custom 5 for my Explorer, I finally decided. I would like to stay with the 496R NECK, or is it too hot to pair with the C5? Which one would be better? 59, Pearly Gates or Jazz? For blues and classic rock tones, and a bit of 80's hard rock. thanks!

Is it a good combination? I'm in doubt between these two Customs, but i don't want to replace the neck pickup, the 496r works well for me. I know it match well with the JB and Super D, but how about the Customs? thanks!

What's the relationship between Jimmy Page and the Gibson 500T? I can't imagine getting good Page tones using this pickup. I tried many times, and in my opinion, it's awesome for hard rock/metal, but not blues/rock. By the way, I really like the 496R
