Just got an epi sg custom for xmas. I changed the b P.U. to gibson bb3. This is going to be a keeper. I play mostly blues/rock and would like to hear some views on a neck and mid pickup that would match the bb3. my other guitars all have sd pups so Id like to keep this gibson.

I changed the mag in a aph1n pup to an a5 and really like the results.Its in the neck of a washburn wi67 guitar paired with a pgb. not as mellow as a2 but matchs the pg very well. interested in other forum member that have done this swap and what you liked and disliked about it.

I recently bought a Schecter Ultra 3 guitar and am wondering what these are closest to in Sd regular line of mini humbuckers. These sound great so the regular SDs would probably sound even better.

Can anyone tell me what the tonal change would be if the adjustable pole screws are cut off even to the bottom of the pickup

This is my first post. thought I'd get my feet wet. Can anyone tell me the closest SD production model to a 59 with a2 mags ?
